JAMB had earlier in the year instructed that all
higher institutions should conclude all their
admission processes before 31st Oct, 2015. With barely a week to this deadline, the question
now remains; will institutions be able to meet the
deadline? The simple answer is No!
We at Campus newswatch have been closely monitoring the
2015/2016 admission process and with the way
it's going, we believe admission lists will continue
to be released up until the end of the year.
Based on history, schools are known to release
multiple admission lists, which could take several
months to completely release them all. We're not
quite sure if these names were already ready
before the deadline or not.
So really, when JAMB says admission deadline is
31st Oct, we don't quite know what they mean by
that since admission lists will still be released
after the deadline.
We hereby remind all those who have been given
admission, please get your admission letter on
time. Don't procrastinate because anything can
happen in the near future.
This is also a call to all those who are yet to be
given admission, not to give up and expect their
names to be shortlisted in other batches of
admission list in their various schools or on JAMB
portal. Campus newswatch team will continue to provide you with
up-to-date information whenever a school
releases any admission list.
While you expect your name in the coming
admission list, you should however be able to
know when to draw the line and run to purchase
the 2016 JAMB form, which closes as early as
16th Jan, 2016.
The truth is, even if you purchase
your JAMB form early, and you later gain
admission, you should be happy to forgo the
exam rather than hope by not getting the form
and later get disappointed. If the latter is the
case, that's till 2017!
For those yet to be offered admission, maybe you
have been posted to another institution that you
may consider attending. If you want to check if
you have been posted to another school that you
may consider going to, click Here to access the
portal. Then enter your JAMB registration number
in the space provided.
You can also consider other alternatives to JAMB
such as IJMB or Cambridge A'level exams that
give you direct 200 Level entry into the University
to study what you want.
